Detection and alarming in case of fire is a very important part of fire suppression. There are many types of detection devices that not only notify, but dispatch the proper suppression and emergency officials.

The most conventional is the smoke detector. These have the same design as the detectors in your house, but our detectors will sample the air 10 times more than the nprmal household smoke detector, thus allowing ours to alarm quicker.

Another type is UV and Infrared Optical Detection, this applies thermo imageries of an area and will detect major changes in temperature. Using this system is effective because it will detect a heat source before a normal smoke detector will detect smoke. UV and Infrared Optical Detection works with and along side all the other major types of alarm and detection products that Special Fire Systems offers.

Another type of heat detection is the Linear Heat Detection system. This a system that incorporates heat sensitive wire that is strung along the ceiling or floor and its proprietary cable that detects heat conditions anywhere along its length. Then return a signal to the command point triggering the alarm.
