Design and Installation
|
Industrial fire and explosion incidents are among the most devastating and costly due to working conditions, cost of process equipment and high risk of the operations in general. Many industrial facilities use flammable liquids at or near their flashpoint in day-to-day operation and process. The main goal in Industrial Fire Protection is occupant evacuation and then asset protection.
Every Industrial Hazard is unique, many facilities are similar but no two are identical. Therefore, each project is carefully analyzed by conducting a fire risk assessment and evaluation to determine the best fire protection application. Many factors are considered before a project hits the drawing board such as:
|
Means of occupant egress
Building/process construction
Flammable liquid quantity and storage arrangement
Burn rate, fire and smoke spread rate
Toxic fume involvement
Identifying potential sources of ignition
Existing fire protection system infrastructure condition
Water quality/quantity availability
Operating practices
Manned or unmanned operations
Geographical availability of municipal or mutual aid |
After an adequate fire risk assessment and evaluation is conducted, a conceptual design is rendered, then discussed among our team of experienced fire protection professionals to determine the final design and application. After the conceptual design is complete a detailed package is forwarded to the Authority Having Jurisdiction for final approval before any material is ordered or installation begins.

Foam System Services
A vast majority of foam systems receive less than minimum proper maintenance mainly due to the lack of trained field inspectors. Many systems were initially installed improperly and have never operated properly from day one.
If your organization is in the process of procuring or merging with another entity and you want to make certain their fire protection systems are up to your standards we can conduct a full system analysis for you to use during the negotiating phase. |
Industrial Consulting Services
Our Industrial Systems Division has vast knowledge of foam system design, application, maintenance and repair of all makes and types of foam systems. Our Foam System Services include:
System performance evaluation
Design services for new systems
Design services for upgraded and/or retrofit systems
Hazard Analysis Surveys
Budget estimates and cost analysis
Annual foam analysis
Project support during installation
System specification preparation
Industrial Field Services
We offer an array of specialized system field services including start-up services, room integrity testing and final inspection/commissioning for requirements of Authorities Having Jurisdiction for foam systems, clean agent fire suppression systems, dry chemical systems and inert gas systems.
Some of the specialty field services offered is:
System commissioning and Start-Up Services
Inspections, maintenance and repair
Bladder tank hydrostatic testing (required every 5 years per NFPA 25)
Foam bladder replacement
AFFF, AR-AFFF and High Expansion foam proportioning accuracy testing
Foam sample analysis (required annually per NFPA 25)
Foam concentrate and/or solution discharge clean-up and disposal
Foam system recharge
